Planning Your Palace Resorts Honeymoon: A Complete Guide for 2025–2026

A Palace Resorts honeymoon is one of the most popular choices for couples flying from Florida — and for good reason. The combination of all-inclusive luxury, direct flights from Tampa, Orlando, and Miami, and the exclusive perks available through a preferred partner makes it one of the most compelling honeymoon values in the Caribbean and Mexico.

But "Palace Resorts" covers several very different properties. The right choice depends on what kind of honeymoon you actually want.

The First Decision: Le Blanc or Moon Palace?

This is the most important choice, and it comes down to a single question: do you want an intimate, adults-only sanctuary, or a sprawling resort with maximum variety?

Le Blanc Spa Resort: The Honeymoon Standard

Le Blanc is, without qualification, the most romantic property in the Palace portfolio. Adults-only, butler-serviced, and built around sensory luxury, it creates an atmosphere that feels genuinely private even though it's a full-service resort.

Why couples choose Le Blanc:

  • Butler service for every room — your butler handles everything from unpacking to restaurant reservations to in-room setup preferences
  • The Blanc Spa — one of the finest resort spas in Mexico, with couples' treatment suites
  • Quiet atmosphere — no children, no pool parties, no entertainment that intrudes on your evening
  • Pillow menu, aromatherapy turndown, in-suite Jacuzzis — the details that matter on a honeymoon

The tradeoff: Le Blanc is smaller and has fewer dining options than Moon Palace. If you want maximum variety and activity, it may feel limiting after a few days.

Moon Palace Cancún: For Couples Who Want Everything

Moon Palace is the right choice for couples who want the all-inclusive model with maximum variety — 24 restaurants and bars, a water park, a golf course, and a resort large enough that you can find a quiet corner or a lively pool bar depending on your mood.

The Nizuc section of Moon Palace is the most refined and adult-oriented — we recommend requesting Nizuc for honeymoon couples who want a quieter experience within the larger resort.

The Second Decision: Cancún or Los Cabos?

Both Le Blanc and Moon Palace have properties in both destinations. The choice between them is largely about landscape and activity preferences.

Cancún: Caribbean Beaches and Accessibility

Cancún offers the classic Mexican Caribbean experience — white sand, turquoise water, and a well-developed tourism infrastructure. Direct flights from virtually every major Florida airport make it the most accessible option.

The beach at Le Blanc Cancún is exceptional: wide, calm, and swimmable year-round (with the exception of occasional sargassum seaweed, which is a seasonal issue across the Caribbean).

Best for: Couples who want a classic beach honeymoon, easy travel logistics, and the Caribbean aesthetic.

Los Cabos: Drama, Adventure, and the Pacific

Los Cabos is a different kind of beautiful. The landscape is dramatic — desert meets ocean, volcanic rock formations, and the deep blue of the Sea of Cortez. The Pacific side is not ideal for swimming (strong currents), but the scenery is extraordinary and the resort pools are exceptional.

Los Cabos adds adventure options that Cancún can't match: sport fishing, whale watching (December–April), ATV tours through the desert, and the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas.

Best for: Couples who want drama, adventure, and a more distinctive landscape alongside the luxury resort experience.

Honeymoon Perks at Palace Resorts

As a preferred Palace Resorts partner, Lighthouse Travel Group clients receive the Palace Blanc Benefits package on every booking — including honeymoons. These perks are not available when booking direct:

  • Room category upgrade (subject to availability) — we request this at booking and follow up before arrival
  • Resort credit — typically $100–$300 depending on the property and season, applicable to spa, excursions, or premium experiences
  • Honeymoon amenity — a private setup in your room (rose petals, champagne, fruit) arranged before arrival
  • Early check-in / late checkout priority — critical for honeymoon couples who want to maximize their time

The Honeymoon Declaration

Always declare your honeymoon at booking — not at check-in. When we book on your behalf, we note the honeymoon in the reservation and coordinate the amenity setup directly with the resort. Declaring at check-in is less reliable and often results in a generic amenity rather than a personalized one.

When to Go

November through April is peak season in both Cancún and Los Cabos — the best weather, the most reliable sunshine, and the highest prices. For a honeymoon, we recommend booking this window if your schedule allows.

May through October offers lower rates and fewer crowds. Cancún is in the Atlantic hurricane zone (June–November), so travel insurance is essential. Los Cabos is less hurricane-prone but can see tropical storms in late summer.

December and January are the most popular honeymoon months — book 9–12 months in advance for the best room selection.

The Planning Process

A Palace Resorts honeymoon through Lighthouse Travel Group works like this:

  1. Initial consultation — we discuss your vision, dates, and budget
  2. Property recommendation — we present 2–3 options with honest assessments
  3. Quote with Blanc Benefits — we request pricing with all applicable perks included
  4. Booking and coordination — we handle the reservation, honeymoon declaration, and pre-arrival requests
  5. Pre-trip briefing — we walk you through what to expect, what to book in advance, and how to make the most of your stay
